Hi John,

That's too bad. Although it's been pointed out that Formsets are "discouraged" I don't find their arguments compelling. I too once used only forms and pageframes. But when editing large entity tables (ie inventory item master, project master, etc), I found when grouping fields on the form, the pageframe did not give control over the size of the pages, and I would end up with a large page containing only a small number of related fields. Also, I find users like the ability to position subordinate forms on the desktop so they can see the primary form and the subordinate forms simultaneously. Not possible with a pageframe.

Needless to say, editing a single table in multiple forms with separate dataenvironments w/ private datasessions and allowing multiple instancing of the form(s) (which users like a whole lot!) is a PITA, not to say it can't be done.

I just find formsets to be an elegant way to allow multiple forms to share a single dataenvironment, and I hope the ability to subclass that shared dataenvironment emerges in a future release.

Thanks,
Jeff
