There are absolutely no plans by Microsoft to port Visual FoxPro to Linux or any other non-Microsoft platform. There are absolutely no plans for Microsoft to make VFP open source. Visual FoxPro is a great Windows based database development system and will continue to be with upcoming versions. Please feel free to use my reply here as a reference to clarify with others whenever this topic comes up.
