Hi Miles

If the recno is being used as a primary key, you'll not only be smart to get rid of the recno(), but you will need a way to generate a number to replace the recno(). Charlie is right. You may be able to get away without packing for a long time, but eventually you may want to do it.

>New programmer says we should pack the data and rebuild indexes. Original developer said never pack the tables because she needs the recno(). I think new programmer needs to find how recno() is used and get rid of it.
