it sounds to me as if you want to send mails in an unattended mode. So maybe sending mails directly via an SMTP server might be an option. You won't need any mail client on your machine, just a tool that can talk to an SMTP server over TCP/IP. One of the tools that come to my mind is wwIPStuff by Rick Strahl -
