>>> But, I doubt that VFP can run on it - does anyone know the answer?

>>There are absolutely no plans by Microsoft to port Visual FoxPro to Linux or any other non-Microsoft platform. There are absolutely no plans for Microsoft to make VFP open source. Visual FoxPro is a great Windows based database development system and will continue to be with upcoming versions. Please feel free to use my reply here as a reference to clarify with others whenever this topic comes up.

>To clarify, I never asked is MS had any plans to port VFP to any other operating systems. I may not be the sharpest tack in the box - but I ain't stupid. My question was whether any developers had found a way to use VFP in any way shape or form on the Linux operating system. The only reason I asked the question was as a result of the distribution of the Red Hat CD's at GLGDW. At any rate, thanks for your response.

I don't see why VFP wouldn't run under vmware or wine. I haven't tried it, though. Where's Jerry when you need him?
