It's like this, Dan. I'd prefer you didn't smoke at all (because you're my friend and I'd like you to live a long, healthy life), but I acknowledge your right to do so.

However, I don't think you have a right to fill my lungs or clothing or hair or coat my skin with the remnants of your cigarettes. At Great Lakes, every night, I got into bed and found that my eyes and throat were burning. When I got home, pretty much every clothes item I had with me needed to be washed.
