Seems like an easy one -- just create a WhilFest sign requesting "no smoking" in the second floor conference area. I believe that 100% of the smokers would probably respect that.

Actually, the first change I want the hotel to make is to eliminate smoking in the building or, at least, limit it to the bar. My eyes are still burning from 5 days of smoke.
I'll second that. That was one of my suggestions on the conference eval.
When I met with the Hyatt people for 2003 planning (yes, already), that was the first thing I mentioned. They did one of those "Hmmm, yes, we'll have to look into it..." things, but I'll keep pressing.
