Valid point Dan. My daughter is not allowed to wear perfume to school because one of her fellow students has both allergy and asthma attacks around heavy perfumes. The school chose to ban perfumes because they could not control the amount of perfume a student wears. While most (notice I say MOST and NOT all) smokers are more considerate nowadays of their fellow human being and avoid smoking around any non-smokers, the same is not true of all men and women of the world that pile on the perfume and after-shave lotion. Where does it stop? If only everyone would take everyone else into consideration at every moment of their day (or at least when getting dressed and when smoking) the world would be a much happier place.

>I'm not against your right to fresh air. Far from it! I generally do try to be (if anything) OVER-cautious when I'm around fragile non-smokers. The utter contempt shown by some people in this thread, though, has me fearing for my life.

>>>Nope. No tolerance at all on this subject. Quite the opposite, if this thread is any indication.

>>It's like this, Dan. I'd prefer you didn't smoke at all (because you're my friend and I'd like you to live a long, healthy life), but I acknowledge your right to do so.
>>
>>However, I don't think you have a right to fill my lungs or clothing or hair or coat my skin with the remnants of your cigarettes. At Great Lakes, every night, I got into bed and found that my eyes and throat were burning. When I got home, pretty much every clothes item I had with me needed to be washed.
