Dan;

There is a difference between a “right” and a “privilege”. When a person’s health is at risk do they have any “rights”? In this case I am talking about the smoker as well as the “audience”. Being addicted to nicotine is a serious issue for anyone who wishes to stop smoking.

The by products of smoking are well known and of concern to many. Some people enjoy smoking. However, it is not reasonable to expect everyone to embrace smoking as a way of life and to be indifferent towards it. I try not to say I “hate” anything but I will say that I have a strong dislike for smoke regardless of the source.

It is not the smoker who is the issue but rather the smoke. Smoker or non-smoker, we are all human.

Tom

>>Is that a reflection on our society as a whole do you think? Are we becoming more and more intolerant of too many things? Health issues aside, personally, I think so.
