Yes, when you are running the Novell client software, you can click on 'capture' when the printer is setup on the workstation in windows and that will permanently capture the printer to a printer port. Also, it can be done via netware user tools. All of these only work of course if the users have rights to 'capture' on the print server. Those rights can be set to be only for admin and then it would require admin logon to initiate. You might be happiest with your solution if no special tasks or user intervention is required when you install the print driver on the workstation. So much depends on the Novell version, the client version, and the OS.

Technically, since you don't want the users printing to that printer for any other reason than your color reports, you could leave the printer drivers installed on the workstations at all times and only issue the Novell CAPTURE to the printer when you print your color reports. Just selecting the printer to print to will not work unless the capture command in Novell is issued and then the ENDCAP of course to stop it. Unless of course, when the users login to the Novell server the capture command is issued in the login script somewhere?
