Search on "FOXPRO" or "FOX PRO". You will find some jobs. There are some on this board and some at VFUG.ORG (also)!

There are lots of legacy foxpro systems that are running with little (or no) maintenance. I write a VFP 5 app for a client in 1997. I thought they has quit using it. I get a call last week for some change orders. Was I surprised!

You want to see what fox pro is being used for - go to google advanced search:
Request "foxpro areospace" or "foxpro oil production" or "foxpro military" or "foxpro pos" or "foxpro fixed income". There are tons of VFP apps out there - like a Timex watch - that just keep on ticking - doing big mission critical jobs. The Fox is all over the place.

A Story: Several years back, I see an ad looking for a C++ programmer to do some quality assurance work. I send a resume and make a call. They wanted full time (you need full time in bunches if you're building a desktop service in C). I get the job (as a contractor). I got the job because I convinced them I could do it cheaper and as good (or better) than they could in "C". In many cases - people hiring are really looking for a solution and not necessarily a solution that requires a specific tool. There is a market! You just gotta make it!

Sure theres a lot of publishing/content development that's always in a state of flux - and you don't need much more than VB to do that. But there are mission critical transaction systems out there - needing maintenance or waiting for someone to build them - and a lot of these are powered by the fox. It's all over the place. The problem is - a good fox system just keeps on running and doesn't require a big maintenance effort or support department.

Make a market. The money guys are hiring you - not an MS development tool!
