Some suggestions off the top of my head:

  • Install an UPS on each workstation and on the server
  • Do the reindex on non-working hours
  • Move the data to a SQL Server or Oracle back-end

    >I have this table of size 1 GB , and it is a part of a CALL CENTER APPLICATION, which means it is being accessed by atleast 40 users at any given point of time. Since it is a CUSTOMER TRANSACTION, it gets hit atleast half a dozen or more times a minute.

    >The question is I get Index problems, every once a week the INDEX is corrupted, and I have to recreate the index. And since this table is 1 GB and has 6 indices on it. It takes much more time and the call center is down once every 10 days for atleast 2 hours.
