Forms & Form designer
Shailesh,
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately all the forms are modal in this application but I will file your tip away for next time. One thing I have discovered in playing around with this was that if I executed a form from the Command Window and the ON KEY LABEL definition for the F1 key was the default, the HelpContextID seemed to have the correct effect (i.e. pressing the F1 key would bring up the correct topic). So... this makes me wonder if my program is doing something to mess it up.
When I run the program in debug in a form I can see that:
1) the HelpContextID property is set correctly for all the controls in the form
2) the F1 key is mapped to its default action, and
3) the SET HELP FILE TO setting is correct.
Bottom line -- I don't understand what is causing this. It seems to me that my application is set up correctly when I am in the forms, but I don't know if I am perhaps forgetting something.
Anyway, thanks again for your help. Hope you are having a good day in Thailand!
Regards,
Jose'

I.e. if the form Windowstate property is modeless it doesnot work. But if it is modal it seems to be working.
