You make 'changing back ends' sound simple.

In any case, a bad network cable, a poorly installed/routed network cable, other network errors/flakiness are all good candidates for this type of problem. This all, of course, between any workstation, hub(s) and the network PC itself.

You say that UPS is in place. On ALL workstations, hub(s) and the network PC??

What network OS is running, and what version?

What type of equipment (make, model, RAM size, HD type/size) is the network PC running on??

What runs as the OS on the workstations??

What version of VFP is running??

Are the indexes in question ALL in a structural .CDX??
