Hey GT,
VFP 8 will be released very early next year. We're of the (perhaps biased?) opinion that this may be the most stable version of VFP ever. We've had really positive feedback from the beta testers. Publicly, I haven't seen a lot of people post bugs here either.
>>I also own and have installed 7. I own a copy of the MSDN and get the new versions when they come out.
>>
>>When will the VFP 8 be stable enough to use??? This beta, next beta, or wait until release??? Naturally that is an impossible question to answer, but if I am going to do an upgrade and I am goingto use SQL 2000, I want to use teh SQL tools that are the easiest to use.

>From what I've heard, the 8.0 beta may be as stable as VFP 7.0 SP1. AFAIK, there won't be a public release of the next beta. Since the release is supposedly targeted for the first quarter of next year, I'd start planning based on the new features in version 8.
