Yes www.vfug.org is completley an AFP creation. I have used AFP now for about 3 years. However, My sites do not experience that many concurrent users. I have had no complaints. I have 2 sites up, one that displays CAD drawings in PDF format and another that (creates quotes, places an order & checks inventory data)

I would recommend contacting Tom o'hare at AFP. I'm sure he could answer your questions, he has been very helpful to me in the past.
