I must admit, I hadn't noticed the low numbers until you mentioned it - but over here the numbers tend to be low for a large part of the day due to the time difference.

There just happened to be a programme on the radio on my drive home interviewing UK resident US people about Thanksgiving, otherwise I wouldn't have know either.
