I've just taken your advice and tried running the programs from the command line and get a message explaining that the .fxp file is not an object...

I can open the .prg file, but running it or set procedure to gets '.fxp is not an object file' and when I compile it I get 'invalid path or file name', this does not happen in VFP6.

Do you have any other ideas. Thanks for your previous help by the way!

I'm not sure how VFP works but when you issue the SET PROCEDURE TO command, does it just hold a reference to the file, or does it check the validity of the file and the compiled equivalent?
