Hi Jonathan,

You can use printer driver
GENERIC/TEXT ONLY
to build yr 'dos like' reports.
By using monospaced font like 'Currier'
you can get quiet good reports.

I used to build reports 132 char wide and then print them
depend on paper size using different pitch size. (12/17 CPI).
It works quiet good with OKI and EPSON printers at least.
