Better now. I have been trying to use some of the new Soap-Features (Attachments)
with VFP7 and was just about to bang my head against the wall because I could
not get VFP to include a certain reference into the the typeLib. Thus the WSDL
Generator failed to to a proper job (see tread from the 26th under WebServices
- I was reeeealy desperate). But today I tried with VFP8 and it immediately
worked.

That's what I'm trying to find out. I'm also running it under NT.
I need to know if I can start to develop with VFP8 NOW or first have
my customers fill out a questionaire "What system are Your running?,
are You planning to Update Your Hard and Software within the next
1, 2, 3 or five years?..."
If I would come to the conclusion that the VFP8-Beta runs safe with all existing
VFP7-Functionality and maybe gives me
some of the new functionality,
I could start to implement some things
now (at least
in the concepts), maybe with ON/OFF switches, and be ready with the first final
release.
Its just now that I could make use of Collection-Classes and BindEvents(). If
it turns out not to be stable enough I would have to create my own array-collections
now and probably redesign them in four months. I have spent much time this
year fighting with my touch-screen-cashier-system where I was lonnnnging for
such a thing as eventbinding in order to create pseudo-modal forms. With VFP7
I had to build complex scenarios and employ message-Handlers in order to get this
thing running smoothly.

Yes OK. That's the easy way. But as it is approved by MS Its their part to test
reliability.
Best regards to "Stuagat" - was nice meeting You at the DevCon in Frankfurt.
