>My eyes are red from reading all kinds of articles on Win XP upgrades vs. W2K and all that jazz. Unfortunately, I have still not been able to find one that feels like a "business" comparison ie. for the average business user who does not give a ding-dang about "look and feel" and multi-media because they have tons of work to do and they really just need the following:
>
>- run Word/Excel maybe PowerPoint
>- run some other business like software (custom VFP app of course or I would not get paid)
>- does not crash, as they've got work to do
>- make my printer generate lots of paper so I feel like I've done my work
>
>Other than that, they really do not care that much about the interface. If it looks like Win98, fine.
>
>Anyhow, I have not yet found a good comparison from a business standpoint. Surely there are corporations or consultants out there who have done a side by side comparison of these 2 OS's and whether they decided to upgrade to W2K or XP.

Albert,
You probably need a couple of opinions - my first opinion is that you should go with XP.
My second opinion is that XP is the go.
It is the most stable of the two and it will be around for longer IMNSHO
