You are permitted to use help files and manuals as you would normally have access to these resources in a working environment. Compared to the MCP exam, the BrainBench exam was a walk in the park. I also seem to remember (it was a couple of years ago) that it asked a number of questions about what commands to use to perform a particular operation, eg PEMSTATUS, etc.

Overall, it's an easy exam. This detracts from its usefulness and, as such, although I passed it at Master level, I have never included it in my resume.
