I'm assuming your client doesn't want to spend more on hardware, otherwise, you could get some of Gates' wunderbar "writing tablets" ...

As an alternative, you could print a "work/job" package with all the appropriate blanks that a floor worker fills in as he completes the job. Later, the worker or a "clerk" could enter the completed package into the work station. The "package" on the work station should look the same as the "hard-copy".
