I rated it with a '1' too and sent the author the following message:

Mrs. Kirby:

Your article at:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnmsde/html/msderoadmap.asp

says: "Until recently, Microsoft offered two means of database management: Microsoft Jet (the Microsoft Access database engine that is shipped with both Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visual Studio) and Microsoft SQL Server. With the release of the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE), a SQL Server-compatible database engine, there is an exciting new option for creating desktop and shared database solutions."

Excuse me? You are telling me that still, after 10 years people at Microsoft do not know that there is a third option, for professional development, called Microsoft Visual FoxPro?

I am appalled to say the least. I would appreciate a rewrite of that first paragrah, setting the record straight.

I am very disheartened that some people at Microsoft do not even know about the company's product line.

Or have you not seen these comments from Steve Ballmer?

Or the comments from Ken Levy, MS VFP Product Manager?
