George Tasker created an icon extraction utility for VFP7, which you can find in the UT downloads section as file # 13845. If you need to use VFP6 or earlier, see Alexander Golovlev's sample code under ExtractIcon or ExtractAssociatedIcon.... Also note his resolution of a memory leak issue, illustrated in this message under How to save the screen from clipboard copy image.
