Sorry, I don't know about ActiveBarCode, but why do You save its
output in a general field?. I would simply store the Information
necessary - meaning the Barcode-String (digits), or what is necessary
to give ActiveBarcode - and create the actual barcode - "image" on
the fly when needed. Then You could create the barcode as You like
it when You need it.

We use a barcode-font (2/5 interleaved) and create the barcode from
within the reports.
