I’d like to get everyone’s suggestion on which flatbed (or multi-function printer) scanner I should purchase. I need to scan and store text and form based documents. I do not have to read the documents (convert anything to text – just need a picture of it). I’d like to control the entire process from VFP (is that possible?). So I’m guessing that some vendor has a programming API that will allow VFP to scan the document and VFP can store the information in either a general field or as a “stand alone” file. I will have several documents per primary key (a customer file). I then need to preview and print the documents when required. I think that is what the Kodak activeX will do for me.
