I just made a simple form with a combobox trying to reproduce the problem that you have. I believe your problem is the way you setup your properties of your combobox.

The following properties in the Data section was setup to the combobox in order to display a field of my table.
BoundColumn = 1
BoundTo = true
ControlSouce = Name
RowSource = Labels.name
RowSourceType = 2

For my test I used the Labes.dbf that is in the root directory of Visual Foxpro.
