ActiveX controls in VFP
Yea, that seems to be the only way.
Treeview with checkboxes IS going to work for me.
I spent a little time yesterday and more today trying whatever angle I could (keywords) to find this capability in VFP Help and MSDN, after reading 3 articles I downloaded from UT on TreeView to see if TreeView might be the one to use. Since I didn't see mention of checkbox in those articles I looked for other things.
The idea of dropping (trial) controls on a form and then snooping around just seems so laborious and counter productive. Not to mention that I likely would not have interpreted the "Checkboxes" option of TreeView's properties correctly. A simple image would have made it soooooo much easier.
Thanks again (and to all others who helped. My last use of an ActiveX was a RTFbox back in VFP5 and I had forgotten all I had learned back then)
>The only reference I know, is Windows Controls help. To get to it, drop TreeView control on the form and hit F1 or right click on it and select Help.

>>That's very interesting, Sergey.

>>I had assumed that there would be such a capability in TreeView, but 3 different download references here made no mention of such, so I lost hope.

>>I am quite perplexed that the MS documentation that I locate on TreeView doesn't SHOW variations of the control, or even the basic control for that matter.

>>Thanks Sergey. I'll have to play around with it since there seems no other way to learn what it looks like and how it actually works. Do you know of any reference describing any of that?
