Do you have any advice/references on how to translate/convert stored procs between orl acle and sqserver.

TIA,
Chris.

>While multi-tier has some benefit, I recommend the extensive use of stored procedures, triggers, sequences, constraints, packages, etc., in your database to enforce ALL database rules and RI. If you do this, you may not even need a middle tier. Currently, I have an app where I did this, and the development of the desktop app was a breeze. I am now developing a web application for this database using the html capabilities in the Oracle server. Since these same triggers, procs, etc., already exist, their use for the web app is still applicable.

>>Does anybody know of a good book on the syntax and stored procedures language for ORACLE 8i?. I tried few books but, despite of their title including or advertising about Store Procedures, they dedicate a thin chapter or less to it with a couple of simple examples. Need something more robust. If you know of one, let me know.

We have client-server programmed and maintained our app in the last 4 years, but they want us to move on with this new and great stuff. I went to a VFP developer conference, everyone talked about it, so we are curious now and need help.
