Microsoft is not promoting "community"; MS is promoting ".Net" (ie. M$).

All across Canada, MS is recruiting ... for .Net "evangelists".

The other day, I was looking for some VB 6.0 samples. There used to be numerous downloads on the MS VB Page ... all gone.

We (VFP) are actually better off than the "old" VB and C/C++ "coummunities"; their web sites and resources are being gutted so that they (dragging and screaming) will migrate to .Net (since the "old" development platforms will no longer get any support).

Just as new (MS) software will only run on W2000 or XP (so that people will upgrade their OS), so the old "communities" are having their legs cut off in order to force a migration to .Net.

The numbers are saying that people are tiring of the bully-boy tactics ...

(Keep your VFP 6.0 and 7.0 disks even if you plan to upgrade to 8.0).
