I understand your point. My point is that there are way too many cases for using objects inside of column with sparse=.F., and thus it is very hard to make something "universal", and, at the same time, flexible (that satisfies all cases that were in grid before).
I know situations when Sparse=.F. mode is required to work as it is now, because in certain situations automatic change of back color is not desired bejavior.
I agree that BOTH things would be good.
However, I just though that for mentioned rare cases when this behavior is not needed, I can easy use "old" approach for row highlighting (with use of DynamicBackColor), so not a problem.
BTW, this is a known issue, as far as I know, and probably will be fixed in next versions of VFP.
