Hi Will,
I've been using xCase since '95, extensively; and I've tried everything else I could get my hands on.
The smallest project I've used it on is 6 entities; the largest if 292 entities and 60+ custom views.
xCase has several features I can't do without:
-- it's fast, in designing entities, fields, relationships
-- it's flexible in display (diagrams; displays of diagrams; diagrams in displays)
-- it's flexible in data-entry with customizable dialogs
-- it's flexible in data domain and data attribute definition; this is huge for me, as I'm mapping to a dynamic data dictionary (which we've also extended)
-- it's data-accessible: everything is in dbf's. For me that's huge, because I transform the data (and the added attributes).
-- it's really easy to use with client-server; and because the data model is so easy accessible, I even modify it before the backend is generated or modified, to fit my data needs.
-- the xCase View designer takes a lot of pain out of the process of identifying the relationship paths.
As you can tell, I think highly of the product. <s>

>I am impressed with xCase light version 6.03's reverse engineering features, integration with VFP databases and overall product. Anyone have experience with both xCase and Visio Professional? If so, I’d appreciate any feedback on how Visio compares to xCase? Especially in regards to the import and export features. Any big differences that makes one product standout?
