I failed to mention that I tested this using VMP4 classes in an existing app I have. The framework wasn't really getting in the way at all. The click event of the add button is pretty simple. It's parent class calls the addrow method of the grid. After the row is added, (and you'll notice the extinsive setfocus logic in that process), you should be able to move control/focus anywhere, at least in theory. :-)
