A few months ago Microsoft announced the next version of .NET (Visual Studio 8.0) would be out December of 2003. The date changed to February 2003 and then to April 2003. It is hard to hit a moving target. April 1st would be a good date for the products release, which is April Fools day in the United States.

Either there are a lot of things that have changed in the upcoming version of VS 8 or Microsoft is going to again try the routine of bringing out software every 12 months to increase revenue. Perhaps both cases are true.
