Now all you have to do is get many of these folks to accept the current state of affairs and grasp that they are not going to change anything"
- the use of VFP has been and is in a steep decline. when folks have posted job search results, the people chime in with "IT jobs in general are down". they are ignoring the facts.
- the comment has been made several times now by Ken Levy himself. VFP is being marketed to the current VFP market. .Net is MS' hot new toy. If they have any extra marketing money this is where it goes. Seems like a simple concept to grasp.
- Many, many places have switched from VFP to something else. VB, whatever. They have made the switch. I don't think they are going to switch back for all the money in the world.
- I saw some comments about marketing verticle market apps before. I used to work with a Telemagic salesman. I know for a fact he had an impossible sell in a few installations because of Telemagic being written in VFP. I know many of the people here are the sole proprietor developers selling to small companies. They might not have to deal with IT depts, many of whom will absolutely not let a package written in VFP into their company.

>>>All I have to say about this knuckle-brained idea is that it is ridiculous and deceptive. Sorry for being so harsh, but that's my opinion.
