Hi Jim and thanx for the effort;

I want the graphic to be previewed on the fly so I was setting the propery at design time, not at run time as you suggested. I simply added the thisform.inv_preview.picture = orders.inv_scan1 into my navigation controls and bingo, we have a winner.
