Nadya, I was offered a position in Wisconsin once based entirely on phone interviews (numerous ones). I believe it is customary if they are interested for them to fly you in and for you NOT to bear the cost. You should have phone interviews first. Following that, at a minimum, if the potential employer is interested, the employment agency (if one is involved) should bear the travel cost.
