>No, its a DBF. For practice's sake, the remote DBF is actually a FoxPro DBF; I am trying to get the forms and programs working with that scenario, as we will be upgrading the DBs to SQL as we get closer to implementation. I checked for insert triggers, default values, etc on the remote DB - nothing. I set up a dummy DB to test this problem, and had no problem, and so it is something on my original DBF in FoxPro that is causing this, not my technique. This remote DBF does have relationships established in the original DB, but there are no RI rules that go with it.
That is really strange. I haven't played with using Fox as a remote source yet. We have an SQL Server here for me to "play" on, so....
