I'd suppose that the problem was with AWREMOTE and the OS, as launched by VFP's RUN command; API_APPRUN uses an API call to fire the command, and I'm eliminating the need for the batch file to make it work. Since there's no CD command executed, there's not even a remote possibility that the focus of the VFP app is changed.
