Depends on what you're doing. If you're remoting then under the covers COM+ uses DCOM, so it's just a layer ontop of DCOM. FOr local operation it depends. I've found COM+ to be a hassle to deal with and provide very inconsistent performance in the past in addition to the fact that you can't control what's hosted inside of a COM+ application. But again, it depends entirely on the setup this all runs on.
