Ahhh-ha, that's my issue... I don't want to develop reports for my customers. I want them to be self-sufficient when it comes to that. Therefore the report control I use has to be flexible enough so that I can "dumb down" the functions and make it easy enough for the average user to understand.

My customers do not have IT departments, they are usually individuals or small firms. I would be the first person they would call and I amd trying to keep that to a minimum.

But, I certainly appreciate your take on this and share your distaste for the VFP report writer.
