Please excuse one more ADO question, I will hopefully learn enough to get something done soon...

Now I am trying to update data and have coded the following:

oRecordSet.Fields("unit").value = thisform.text2.value

where unit is a character string.

The message I get is:

"OLE dispatch exception code 0 from microsoft cursor engine: multi-step operation generated errors. Check each status value..."

The examples I have come across show setting the field value to a literal like "New value" but I'm hoping ou can set it to a variable...

I am on VFP/sp1
