>That's the real beauty of VFP! If you have anytime in understanding OOP concepts and really applied them in VFP, you are already ahead in the game. C# is only syntax. The .NET IDE is intuitive and not that hard to learn, especially for seasoned VFP developers. The only gripe I have is that the help system SUCKS! Other than that, it really is a breeze to learn.
That's interesting to hear you say that (about C#). Kevin, in his book ".NET for VFP Developers" (from Hentzenwerke's) says almost the say thing. Being an old time BASIC developer, and knowing the similarities between the two language's I would've guessed that VB.NET would be easier.
I'll agree on the help system to an extent. The ability to have tabbed documents, however, is pretty cool. My biggest dislike (at least in VB.NET) is the fact that the event's and methods (at least at the form level) aren't easily available.
