Intellisense has been a great addition. I'd advise against turning it off. It'll help you far more than it will hinder you.

Having said that, go to the Tools menu and select the Intellisense Manager option. On the General tab of the paged dialog that'll appear, click the Enable Intellsense checkbox to off, then the OK command button.
