>Well, what is odd is that as long as we are not using that one T-1 line, tehre is no communciation problem while using PCAnywhere. I believe that if there were a network card problem that we would not be able to do anything on the LAN to which we connect. We have no problem on the LAN; it's on the WAN that we have the problem, but it may be caused possibly by Windows XP, but who really knows, except for Microsoft? The mapped drive fails, disconnecting the networked path, but this doesn't happen to any other mapped drive, only on the T-1 line.
I have a similar situation where the connection with a drive is lost for about a fraction of a second. That happens about once per month. Within that period, million of transactions are being executed on that connection. So, this is very rare. When I discover that, I go on the server and check to verify that all is back to normal. This is something I have but could be related to the RAID functionality or the synchronization of various things on the domain.
We don't have any XP here. You won't see that around as long as I control what's gonna be under the hood. :) So, I can't tell about that. But, it may not be related at all and maybe to something else. That's why I wanted to know more about it as I also experience some situations which could be similar.
