First, what **EXACTLY** is the message you are getting? I do not find a message like you refer to in your original (at least not in VFP).
Second, which table is named in the error message AND what are you doing to write/update THAT table?
Can you please show the actual command(s) you are using to write/update that table too?
You said it happens on Win98 with VFP6SP5. Is the 'server' also Win98?... or is it a standalone application? IF multi-user, how many other users connected at the same time?
No ideas at this time. Sorry.
good luck
>Jim,
>The message occurs while saving a sales invoice transaction. Basically, the program updates the invoice parent and child tables, then updates the inventory (where the stock table stores the historical records) table.
>There's no cartesan query as I'm using views for the parent and child table while the inventory table is updated via a SQL update statement. Normally the number of child records rarely exceed 15.

>You're right to say that a reindex is not the answer but somehow its the only way that I could get rid of that message and let the system function again.

>I however do use sys(3050,1) function in my main program to restrict the amount of memory reserved (by dividing the default value with 3), could this be a place to look?
