I need some ideas/comments/suggestions on my current project. Anything is welcome.

This is my project overview:

I am sending Instructions Data File from AR to a Central Processing Center (CPC) in FL over a VPN network, and receiving the response after the Data File been processed on the CPC. According to the people from CPC, I could do it with IBM MQSeries, TCP Socket, or FTP. And their preferred method is the MQSeries. And since I am on Microsoft platform, they're on IBM platform, they have had problems with this configuration before with other clients, so we basically put the MQSeries aside and try to use the Socket or FTP approach. And the Data File could be as large as 10MB in size.

And this is my questions: Has anyone done this before? Can I do this with VFP? What are the pros and cons of using Socket and FTP?

Please throw in your .02 cents about this project, and this is my first time doing such thing.
