>too costly (Sturgis and the whole area excalate cost dramatically),

I get the same at Laconia. Then again, I loose 40% in exchange. So everything is $$$. But after going for so many years we know the good spots.

>He is a firm believer in staggered formation when riding. He hates it when a biker comes up right beside him and rides.

I agree 100% I had a friend back in 1980 who did not observe this. At 20 they had to replace his hip because of the collision.

>Just a word of warning. I have been through that area several times and it is a beauty of a place to ride. But if it is crowded it really takes your eyes off the area and onto the road more.

So true. At Laconia there are about 150,000 + bikes. So you got to be extra careful. But we tend to stop alot and take pictures. My wife rides in back with the cam-corder.

>I would recommend that you take a road trip to Glacier Park in Montana. That was the most spectacular ride I have ever done.

I'll have to look that up on a map. Geography is not my strong suit.
