Consultant/Business Analyst/Lead FoxPro Developer, for Georgia Temp at Georgia Pacific, Atlanta, GA July 2002 – October 2002

Performed maintenance and user requested enhancements for an inventory application written in FoxPro 2.5. Resolved the inventory file import failure issue between the FoxPro legacy inventory system and the new MS-Access 2000 system. Designed and setup an automated FTP import system for the inventory application on the AS/400. Created a Root Cause Analysis document in order to identify and prevent future inventory file import failures. Created an Application Information Document (AID) for knowledge transfer of maintenance/support information and for future application upgrade from the current FoxPro legacy system to the current mainstream Client-Server application. The environment includes MS-DOS, MS-Windows 3.X and 95 operating systems.

Consultant/Programmer Analyst for CDI Information Technology Services and IBM at BP Amoco, Atlanta, GA November 2000 – June 2002

Supervised and coordinated all LIMS functions and usage involving database files and tables maintenance. Full lifecycle project management including analysis, design, development and implementation of the LIMS system enhancements and upgrades. Managed processing on the VAX and Windows NT versions of the LIMS called SampleManager. Performed Root Cause Analysis relating to LIMS failure. Supported Decosign and Consign Archive data on the LIMS Oracle Data. Insured that all LIMS data feeds were available for the EBO application that created Crystal Reports output of COA data and MS-Excel spreadsheet data analysis. Created reports using LIMS SampleManager adhoc reporting utility. Made enhancements to Oracle 8 PL/SQL procedures. Monitored LIMS SampleManager processes on the Window NT and DEC/VAX machine. Acted as the Systems Administrator for the LIMS system. Client/Server network and systems administration support including hardware and software maintenance, data backup, archive and retrieval and project lead for system enhancements. Full lifecycle project management of the GAP marketing department’s system for account calls and correspondence tracking. Supported, enhanced and developed the designs for moving the existing GAP desktop (Visual Basic 6.0 & Crystal Report 7 & 8) and web (HTML, ASP, Visual Basic Script) application to Java Intranet and Extranet products. Created a call summary, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports sent to customers using Crystal Reports and Visual Basic 6.0. Created a file mapping system to import and validate data moved into the Oracle Data Warehouse. Used Business Objects to create adhoc reports. The environment included: Visual Basic 6.0, Visual SourceSafe, Project Analyzer, Erwin, Visio 5.0, Crystal Reports 7.0/8.0, ADO 2.5/RDO, Informix, FrontPage 2000, HTML, ASP, Java Script, Windows NT, and UNIX.
Consultant/ Project Manager/ Business Analyst/Lead Developer for CDI at Georgia Department of Technology and Adult Education, Atlanta, GA May 1999 – March 2000
Automated the manual process of their General Education Diploma (GED) testing. Performed analysis, design, and hierarchy system flow using prototype screens for the new GED testing application. Led a team of two in the development of the Visual Basic front end that interfaced between a SCANTRON SCANMARK 2500 Optical Marker reader and the Oracle 8i database. Created an on-line profile review and update utility to help the staff manage the screening criteria of potential applicants. The addition of test scanning features achieved significant cost savings by eliminating the need for external vendor processing. The environment included: Visual SourceSafe, Visio, Crystal Reports 7.0, Scancom OCX, and Huge Electronics (Flip OCX).

Provided technical support in the development, implementation and upgrade of the legacy mainframe/DOS Customer Service Debit Card System using Client Server technology. Converted legacy DOS FoxPro reporting systems to Visual FoxPro and Crystal Reports. Wrote a Visual FoxPro program to update the real time system during the down time of any server.
